A Team Leader
A team leader in a medium sized NHS trust believed that she had reached the pinnacle of what she could achieve in the organisation. She was grateful for the opportunity. It never occurred to her to aspire for more. Decisions were made about her work that she couldn’t influence. She felt dejected but she had made peace with her lot in life. Stimulus worked with her to find her voice. We worked through her inertia and then her discomfort. This was done through one to one coaching and peer support. She identified her values and clarified her opinion on the way of life. The outcome was she felt confident in her opinion and She was able to voice it to her colleagues and senior management. Even more so it showed in how she managed her team and engaged with the Trust. She started to flourish, and it showed in other aspects of her life. When she wavers because those times will come, she knows she is not facing this on her own, we are with her in the line of fire.

Broadcasting Organisation

In response to the Black Lives Matter movement, a broadcasting organisation employed a Black employee to lead their BAME Diversity & Inclusion initiative. However, there wasn’t an increase in senior members of BAME communities. Stimulus provided an initial consultation, spent time with the teams to get a sense of what was the true health of the organisation’s D&I. What was it in practice? Senior leadership were provided an extensive report with recommendations on how to start with small changes to their organisational culture. The organisation also accessed one to one coaching for their team members from ethnic minorities. The main outcome was a beginning of honesty and trust between the organisation and team members from ALL ethnic minorities. This increased the commitment and loyalty of their employees, increasing employee satisfaction and productivity, creating an environment where all professionals can thrive
